In the composite kernel method, a composite kernel assembled by combining two kernels selected from the menu is fitted to the single experimental isotherm. The calculated PSD represents a sum of two components associated with the corresponding kernels. A similar method of using combined kernels was described and applied earlier.13
To apply this method, the box “Composite Kernel (1&2)” should be checked and two kernels need to be selected from the menu. These two kernels are assembled into a composite kernel which is fitted to a single experimental isotherm.
Example of the PSD analysis by the kernel composed of heterogeneous surface and finite pore models fitted to the experimental isotherm.
